Anitra Carr, PhD

Associate Professor

Associate Professor Anitra Carr is a Sir Charles Hercus Health Research Fellow and Director of the Nutrition in Medicine Research Group at the University of Otago’s Christchurch School of Medicine, NewZealand.

Dr Carr first started researching the role of vitamin C in human health and disease whilst carrying out an American Heart Association Post-doctoral Fellowship at the Linus Pauling Institute, Oregon State University, USA. Currently, Dr Carr is undertaking research funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand and the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation investigating the role of vitamin C in severe infection, including pneumonia and sepsis.
